Terms of Service

Last updated: October 27, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your purchase and use of eSIM World (“we”, “us”, “our”) travel eSIM plans (“Plans”) and related services (“Services”). By purchasing, installing, activating, or using a Plan, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not purchase or use the Services.

Coverage is not guaranteed everywhere. “Country/region coverage” means we aim to provide service via partner networks in those locations, but availability can vary by city, indoor areas, remote regions, congestion, and local restrictions.

Plan validity and activation rules matter. Your Plan may start on first network connection in a covered country/region (common for travel eSIM), or another trigger stated on the Plan page.

Device compatibility is your responsibility. Your device must support eSIM and be unlocked.

Local laws may apply. Some countries restrict eSIM use or require registration; you are responsible for compliance when travelling.

“eSIM”: a digital SIM profile downloaded to an eSIM‑compatible device.

“QR Code / Activation Credentials”: the code(s) and instructions used to download the eSIM profile.

“Covered Territory”: the countries/regions listed on the Plan page.

“Validity Period”: the time period during which the Plan can be used (e.g., 1/7/15/30/90/180 days), as stated on the Plan page.

“Upstream Provider”: underlying network operator(s), roaming partner(s), and/or eSIM provisioning platform provider(s) enabling connectivity and eSIM delivery.

“You”: the purchaser and/or user of the Services.

“Points”: the units of your prepaid balance on eSIM World. 1 Point = €1.

“Balance”: the Points currently credited to your account.

“Top-Up”: adding Points to your Balance by paying by card in euros (EUR).

“Consumer”: an individual who buys Plans or Top-Ups for purposes outside their trade, business or profession.

Contact form: Contact us

4.1 We sell travel Plans online and deliver eSIM installation information digitally. Your eSIM details (QR code, SM-DP+ address and activation code) are delivered in My eSIMs in your account, and we also send you a copy by email.

4.2 We are your contractual counterparty for the Services. Connectivity is enabled through Upstream Provider(s). Certain aspects of service depend on third parties (coverage, network selection, roaming partners, speeds, outages).

4.3 Plan details shown on the Plan page and at checkout (data allowance, validity, covered countries, whether data-only, speed policy, tethering policy, etc.) form part of the contract.

5.1 You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to purchase.

5.2 You are responsible for:

  • confirming your device supports eSIM and is unlocked;
  • ensuring you have internet access to download the eSIM profile (Wi‑Fi recommended);
  • following installation steps and keeping credentials secure;
  • using the Plan only in the Covered Territory and within the Validity Period.

5.3 Unless expressly permitted by us, you must not resell, transfer, or distribute the eSIM/Plan.

5.4 You are responsible for maintaining sufficient balance to purchase Plans and additional Services. We may set minimum and maximum Top-Up amounts and may apply security checks to Top-Ups and balance usage to prevent fraud and comply with legal obligations.

6.1 Compatibility. Not all devices support eSIM. You must verify compatibility before purchase.

6.2 Unlocked device requirement. Carrier-locked devices may not accept our eSIM.

6.3 Installation timing. We recommend installing the eSIM before travel (where possible) and enabling it when you arrive, unless your Plan states otherwise.

6.4 Single-use credentials. QR Codes/activation credentials may be single-use. If you share them or install incorrectly, we may be unable to reissue.

6.5 Device settings. You may need to:

  • enable the eSIM line;
  • enable data roaming (common for travel eSIM);
  • set the eSIM as the data line;
  • configure APN settings if instructed.

7.1 Order and delivery. When you buy a Plan with Points, your eSIM credentials are delivered in My eSIMs in your account, and we also email you a copy with your order confirmation. Digital delivery may be immediate or may take a reasonable time depending on checks and provisioning.

7.2 Activation trigger. The Plan’s Validity Period starts according to the rule stated on the Plan page, which may include:

  • first successful connection to a supported network in the Covered Territory; or
  • installation/activation on your device; or
  • another stated trigger.
    If the Plan page is silent, the default is: validity starts on first network connection in the Covered Territory.

7.3 Expiry. Unused data and remaining validity expire at the end of the Validity Period; unused value is not refundable unless required by law.

8.1 Data allowance and speed. Plans may be capped by data volume and/or subject to speed policies (including throttling after a threshold). “Unlimited” (if offered) may be subject to fair use and speed management as described on the Plan page.

8.2 Tethering/hotspot. Tethering may be allowed or restricted depending on the Plan and partner network policies. If restricted, we may limit or block hotspot usage.

8.3 VoIP and messaging apps. Use of VoIP/messaging apps (e.g., WhatsApp, FaceTime, etc.) may be permitted but performance depends on network conditions and may be restricted by local networks.

8.4 Prohibited use. You must not use the Services for unlawful activity, spam, malware, network interference, or attempts to gain unauthorised access.

8.5 Fair use / abuse prevention. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate service to prevent fraud, abuse, excessive usage, or security risks, including where required by Upstream Providers.

9.1 No guarantee of coverage. Coverage maps and country lists are indicative. Actual availability depends on roaming partners, local network conditions, and local restrictions.

9.2 No guaranteed speeds. Mobile data speeds vary and are not guaranteed.

9.3 Outages and maintenance. Outages may occur. We will use reasonable efforts to restore service, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

10.1 Some countries may restrict eSIM usage, require registration, or block certain services. You are responsible for complying with local laws and regulations.

10.2 If local restrictions prevent use of the Plan, this may not qualify for a refund unless required by law or unless we expressly state otherwise.

10.3 Countries we do not serve. We do not offer Plans for, or covering, certain countries and territories, and we do not accept a billing or shipping address in them. Those Plans are not shown in our catalog and the order form does not accept such an address. The list may change; the current list is in our FAQ.

11.1 Currency and taxes. Plan prices are shown in Points (1 Point = €1). Top-Ups are always charged in euros (EUR), whatever currency the site is displaying. Where the site shows an amount in another currency, it is for information only. Taxes (including VAT) may apply depending on your location and the nature of the supply and will be displayed where required.

11.2 Top-Up model. We operate on a prepaid Top-Up basis. You fund your balance by making a Top-Up using the payment methods available at checkout.

11.3 No exchange for cash / no transfers. Your Balance is not a bank account, is not interest-bearing, and cannot be exchanged for cash, paid out or transferred to another user, except as set out in our Refund Policy or where required by applicable law.

11.4 Deductions from Balance. When you purchase a Plan and/or additional Services, you authorise us to deduct the applicable amount from your balance. If your balance is insufficient, you must Top-Up before completing the purchase.

11.5 Authorisation to charge. You authorise us (and our payment processors) to charge your selected payment method for Top-Ups and any other amounts due under these Terms.

11.5A Card payments. Card payments for Top-Ups are handled by our payment processor, which is PCI DSS compliant. We do not store your card details.

11.6 Pricing changes. We may change prices for Plans and additional Services at any time, but changes will not affect purchases already completed.

11.7 Errors. If we make a pricing or charging error, we may correct it and, where appropriate, refund or re-charge the correct amount in accordance with applicable law.

11A.1 What Points are. Points are the units of your prepaid Balance on eSIM World. 1 Point = €1. You add Points to your Balance with a Top-Up, and you spend Points to buy eSIM Plans.

11A.2 Top-Ups. You can add between 5 and 500 Points per payment, cents included (for example 12.40). You pay for a Top-Up by card, in euros (EUR). We may change these limits; the limits that apply are shown on the Top-Up page. A Top-Up and the purchase of a Plan are separate orders.

11A.3 Spending Points. Points leave your Balance when you buy a Plan, and when we correct a charge or remove Points as described in the Refund Policy. The price of each Plan is shown in Points on the Plan page and at checkout before you confirm. Clause 11.4 applies if your Balance is not enough.

11A.4 No cash value. Your Balance is not a bank account and does not earn interest. Points cannot be exchanged for cash, paid out or transferred to another user or account. Points are not refundable. The only exceptions are a charge made in error or a duplicate charge, which we correct as set out in our Refund Policy, and where the law requires it.

11A.5 No refunds of Points. Points are credited to your Balance immediately and are not refundable or redeemable for cash. The only exceptions are a charge made in error or a duplicate charge, which we correct. The Refund Policy also explains what happens to Points you have already spent on a Plan.

11A.6 Expiry. Points do not expire while your account is open. If we close your account under section 14, clause 14.2 applies.

11A.7 Your records. You can see your current Balance and your Points history in My account > Balance.

12.1 Plans are digital content. Before you can buy a Plan with Points, you must tick a box to confirm that you ask us to deliver your eSIM immediately and that you acknowledge that you lose your right to cancel once the eSIM has been delivered to you. You cannot place the order without ticking it. We store the date, time and wording of your confirmation with your order. The eSIM counts as delivered when its details are available in My eSIMs. Once the eSIM is delivered with your consent and acknowledgement, and after we have sent you the confirmation described in clause 12.2, you can no longer cancel that purchase. This does not affect your rights if the Plan is faulty or not delivered (see section 13 and the Refund Policy).

12.2 We confirm your consent and acknowledgement to you by e-mail (a durable medium), in the message we send with your eSIM details.

12.3 Top-Ups. Points from a Top-Up are credited to your Balance immediately. They are not refundable or redeemable for cash. The only exceptions are a charge made in error or a duplicate charge, which we correct (see clause 11A.4 and the Refund Policy).

13.1 General approach. Refunds for Plans are limited to the cases described in this section 13 and in the Refund Policy, and are always subject to applicable law.

13.2 Top-Ups and Balance. Points from a Top-Up are credited to your Balance immediately and are not refundable or redeemable for cash. The only exceptions are a charge made in error or a duplicate charge: contact us and we will correct it. Your unused Points stay in your Balance. See our Refund Policy.
13.2A Purchases using balance. When you use your balance to purchase a Plan and/or additional Services, that purchase is treated as a purchase of digital content/services. Refund eligibility is assessed under these Terms and applicable law.
13.2B No cancellation after delivery. Once your eSIM has been delivered and you have given the consent and acknowledgement described in section 12, you cannot cancel that Plan purchase. You keep your rights if a Plan is faulty or not delivered.
13.2C Faulty or undelivered eSIMs. If your eSIM is faulty or is not delivered, we replace it or return the Points you paid for it to your Balance. Money goes back to the card only for a charge made in error.

13.3 Typical eligible scenarios:

  • we fail to deliver credentials and cannot remedy promptly;
  • provisioning fails due to our/Upstream Provider fault and we cannot provide a working replacement;
  • incorrect charge.

13.4 Typical non-eligible scenarios:

  • device not compatible / carrier-locked;
  • wrong Plan purchased (wrong territory/validity) where information was clearly displayed;
  • poor coverage in a specific location within a covered country;
  • local restrictions prevent use;
  • user error (deleted eSIM after activation, incorrect settings) after we provided correct instructions.

13.5 Replacements. Where feasible, we may issue replacement credentials/eSIM profile instead of a refund.

13.6 How to request support/refund. Contact support through our contact form with:

  • order number, email used at purchase;
  • device model/OS;
  • screenshots of eSIM status/settings (redact sensitive info);
  • country/city and time of issue.

14.1 We may suspend/terminate Services if we reasonably suspect fraud, prohibited use, security risk, or if required by law/Upstream Providers.

14.2 If we end the Services under this section, we will deal with any unused Points in your Balance as required by applicable law.

Our Website, trademarks, and content are owned by or licensed to us. You receive a limited, non-transferable right to use the Services for personal travel use in accordance with these Terms.

16.1 We process personal data under our Privacy Policy.

16.2 For provisioning and operation, we and/or Upstream Providers may process technical identifiers (e.g., eSIM identifiers and network/device identifiers).

16.3 If you purchase for another person, you confirm you have the right to provide their information.

17.1 Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited under law (including for death/personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation).

17.2 Subject to clause 17.1, we are not liable for:

  • indirect or consequential losses;
  • loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill;
  • issues caused by device incompatibility, carrier locks, incorrect settings, or failure to follow instructions;
  • third-party network outages, roaming partner issues, or events outside our reasonable control.

17.3 To the extent permitted by law, our total liability relating to a Plan is limited to the amount you paid for that Plan.

17.4 If you are a consumer, nothing in sections 17 and 18 limits or excludes your rights under mandatory consumer law, including the legal guarantee that digital content and digital services conform to the contract, or any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that protects you.

18.1. Reasonable efforts are taken to improve the accuracy and integrity of the Services, but complex software is never wholly free from defects, errors, and bugs. We give no warranty or representation that the Services will be wholly free from defects, errors, and bugs, such as downtime, loss of data, corrupt data, service delay, mistakes, out-of-date information, or other. Notwithstanding any other provision of the Terms, we reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate access to the Services, or any functionality comprising a part of the Services at any time. In no event, to the extent permitted under applicable law, will we be liable for making these changes. In exceptional and very limited cases, Services may be unavailable from time to time due to human, digital, mechanical, telecommunication, software, and other failures. We cannot predict or control when such downtime may occur and cannot control the duration of such downtime.

THE SERVICES AND WEBSITES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND WITH ALL FAULTS. WE MAKE NO REPRESENTATION OR WARRANTY WHATSOEVER REGARDING THE COMPLETENESS, ACCURACY, ADEQUACY, SUITABILITY, FUNCTIONALITY, AVAILABILITY, OR OPERATION OF THE SERVICES, SOFTWARE OR WEBSITES. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT WE DO NOT HAVE CONTROL OVER YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, AND WE DO NOT WARRANT THE PERFORMANCE OR RESULTS THAT MAY BE OBTAINED THROUGH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, SOFTWARE OR WEBSITES. YOU ASSUME ALL RISKS AND RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES, SOFTWARE OR WEBSITES AND FOR ANY LOSS OF OR ERRORS IN ANY DATA OR INFORMATION. TO THE FULL EXTENT PERMISSIBLE BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING THROUGH COURSE OF DEALING, COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, OR USAGE OF TRADE. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE NEITHER WARRANT NOR REPRESENT THAT YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES WILL NOT INFRINGE THE RIGHTS OF ANY THIRD PARTIES, NOR THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR YOUR ACCESS OR USE, NOR THAT OPERATION OF THE SERVICES WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED. PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME JURISDICTIONS MAY NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IN ADDITION, YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS THAT VARY FROM ONE JURISDICTION TO ANOTHER JURISDICTION.

We may update these Terms and/or Plans from time to time. The Terms in force at the time of purchase apply to that purchase. Material changes for active Plans will be made only where necessary or permitted by law.

If you wish to raise a concern, complaint or dispute about our Website, Plans or Services, please contact us first so we can investigate and resolve the matter directly.

You can submit a complaint through our contact form, starting your Message with “Complaint” and providing: your full name, order number (if applicable), and a description of the issue.

We will acknowledge your complaint within 5 Business Days and aim to provide a full response or resolution within 15 Business Days.

If more time is required, we will notify you and explain the reason for the delay.

If you are not satisfied with our final response, you may seek alternative dispute resolution (ADR) as described in Section 21 (Governing Law and Dispute Resolution).

21.1 If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you habitually live, whatever law governs these Terms.

21.2 If you are a consumer, you may bring a claim against us in the courts of the country where you live. We will bring a claim against you only in the courts of the country where you live.

21.3 Please contact us first (section 20). If we cannot resolve your complaint, you may use an out-of-court dispute resolution (ADR) body. We have not committed to use a specific ADR body. EU consumers can find the ADR bodies approved in their country in the European Commission’s list of ADR bodies. If you live in the UK, you may use an ADR provider approved in the UK. We will cooperate in good faith with any eligible ADR process.

Severability: invalid provisions do not affect the rest.

Assignment: we may assign this agreement to anyone at any time provided doing so does not adversely impact your rights under the agreement. You may not assign the agreement without our written permission.

Entire agreement: these Terms together with Plan description and referenced policies form the entire agreement.
